Today we have Sam Techer in the hot seat.
When did you come to be involved with eQ and what did you get from your first experience?
I started a new relationship in February 2009 and found out about eQ through a link I spotted while checking out my new boyfriend’s Facebook page. He had participated in PSI and Life Design the year before. So I checked out the company’s website and decided to do PSI in June 2009.
I went along feeling quite low and was reserved and came away from the weekend having gained confidence. I still remember saying Thank you to Jodie for bringing back my smile.
What did you do next?
I signed up to do Life Design, not knowing how I was going to pay for it, and by the time I had my one on one with Jodie… the money had been sorted.
After Life Design, the relationship with my boyfriend went from strength to strength and he proposed at an eQ Social Club get-together in April 2010. We got married in May 2011.
And now you are the logistics manager for Brisbane PSI as well as the Success Club presenter?
Yes. Both roles I would never have seen myself doing when I first attended PSI.
I assisted at every PSI since participating myself, and attended every Success Club… so when asked if I would take over the Logistics Role … I felt honoured.
What do you get out of doing all of that?
The satisfaction of helping others to help themselves, as well as the benefits of being in a great positive environment every month!
Both roles provide many challenges which help me to grow and learn.
I imagine you have grown in your capacity a lot doing these roles?
I have grown immensely. I am no longer the person that turned up on the Saturday morning to participate in her first PSI… I have changed so much, and all for the better.
What are your favourite learnings if you have any?
After 4 years in the eQ environment, I have so many!
Focusing on the positives… attracts more positives into your life, and celebrate the successes no matter how small they may seem.
Do you find you continually learn and expand?
Yes. Each day brings new challenges and from those challenges comes learnings… some much more successful than others.
What was the biggest ahhha moment for you that changed the way you live your life?
Focus on ME! I am the number 1 person in my life. Being a mother of three, that can be very challenging at times… I am learning to put myself first and not worry about what others think.
Where to next for you?
Who knows what challenges await… working towards achieving the next goal on my list.
What pearls of Sam wisdom would you like to share with everyone?
To quote one of my favourite authors:
“You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself, any direction you choose. “ ~ Dr. Seuss
Your life is up to you and only you! Keep following those dreams.
